Stroke is one of the most important stages performed during paddling. This is the stage during which the paddler pulls him or herself past the paddle.

    Removal of paddler from water is accomplished towards the end of paddling process. There is an appropriate position during which this technique is performed. This procedure is repeated until final destination is reached. Factors, which intend to impact paddling procedure are; water temperature, wind direction, precipitation, wind speed, fog, lightening, air temperature, currents and tides. Individuals taking part in paddleboarding are advised to look at the condition of the weather carefully for the good of their safety.

    Strength and direction of wind will affect your entire paddling process. Think of the strength of wind and on its direction. This will help you minimize chances of accidents occurring during entire process. Do not go out for paddleboarding in case winds are extremely strong for you. Considering direction in which wind moves is beneficial.

    Minding lightening, precipitation and fog is beneficial. These conditions can prevent you from seeing clearly. There are many challenges, which might arise owing to poor visibility. Following the preferred direction is actually very challenging. Furthermore, other vessels may fail to see you especially if you need any kind of help.

    Tides and currents will really distract you especially if they are moving in varying directions. They may make you to apply a lot of force without a good reason. You may not be able to navigate past an area, which is rocky during low tide. Check the nature of tides and currents before you commence paddling.
